Wouldn’t it be great if every time you spent $5.00 for lunch, $1.00 would be donated to the Delaware County District Library? Did you know that you can do that right now? The Delaware Community Market, 222 East William Street is an innovative local business endeavor that is designed to help all parts of our community. The Market creates a venue for local farmers and craftsmen to sell their goods at competitive prices, while donating 20% of all sales to local nonprofit organizations within our community.
It’s easy to donate 20% of what you spend at the Delaware Community Market to the Delaware County District Library. Simply register at the Market and designate the Library as your non profit of choice. You will receive a membership card (membership is free) and each time you buy lunch, produce, handmade crafts, candles, baskets, plants or any of the other dozens of items available at the Market, let the clerk know when you check out that you would like your donation to go to the Library. Each month, the Library receives a check from the Delaware Community Market that we use to purchase more books, DVDs, and other library material for children, teens and adults.
Buying locally and donating to the Library–what a great way to support our community! I hope you visit the Delaware Community Market and the Delaware County District Library soon!
