Making Cents: A Financial Literacy Series for All Ages

The financial literacy series, “Making Cents,” presented by the Sunbury, Ashley and Delaware County libraries offers interesting and informative programs for the whole family.  The programs sponsored by the Friends of the Delaware County District Library, and the Delaware County Bank is a 4-month long series to help you build your financial knowledge, presented at each of the libraries, giving you multiple opportunities to participate.

On Tuesday, September 27th at 6:30 p.m. the Delaware (Main) Library will be offering “Right on the Money,” a fun family program with a money theme, coin tricks, origami with dollar bills, and other clever activities.  “Right on the Money” will be repeated at the Ashley Wornstaff Memorial Library on Wednesday, October 5th at 7:00 p.m., and at the Ostrander Branch on Saturday, October 15th at 11:00 a.m. This program is for parents and their children, 5 years old or older.

Also on September 27th at 7:00 at the Community Library in Sunbury, a speaker from Raymond James will present “Investments 101,” discussing how, where and when to invest your money to increase your future financial health.  This program is for adults.

You can learn how to read, fix and improve your credit report by attending “Credit Reports,” with speakers from Consumer Credit Counseling of Ohio on Thursday, October 6th at 7:00 p.m. at the Delaware (Main) Library.  This program, for adults, will be repeated on Thursday, October 13th at 7:00 at the Orange Branch Library, and on Tuesday, October 18th at 7:00 p.m. at the Community Library in Sunbury.
