I have been working in libraries since I was 11 years old and volunteered at my school library. I can’t think of a better career choice for me (or anyone for that matter) than being a librarian. I began my career at DCDL in 1984 after volunteering here for several years. Over the past 25+ years, I have worked as a circulation clerk, Outreach Services clerk, Community Programmer, Page Supervisor, Community Relations Coordinator, Assistant Director, and was appointed as Director in 2006. It is a privilege to serve in this position, working with an outstanding and dedicated staff to bring excellence in library service to our community. My door is literally and figuratively always open, so please stop in anytime!
