Winter Weather and the Library

Like it or not, winter weather is part of life in Ohio.  As reluctant as we are to do so, occasionally we must close the Library because of inclement weather.  One guideline we use to determine if the Library should close is the Delaware County Sheriff.  If Sheriff Russ Martin calls a Level 2 or higher emergency in Delaware County, the Library will close all of its branches, and they will remain closed until the emergency level is lifted or reduced to Level 1.

If we do need to close, we will notify television and radio stations, put pertinent information on the Library’s answering machines, and use social media (Facebook, Twitter) to help let you know that we had to close.

Before you venture out to the Library, if you have any doubt about whether we are open, please give us a call, or check Facebook and Twitter for the latest information.
